Get quiet and get connected

If you want to feel fulfilled in life, you need to get crystal clear about what you want to accomplish, and pursue those goals with energy and determination. In the words of one of my mentors, John Di Lemme, “You need to be relentless in the pursuit of your why!"

Don’t get trapped in the someday syndrome. Someday is now. It is here. So many people never reach their potential because they never get started.

Take that first step.

Expand your self image.

As I have heard John Di Lemme say before – "You need to find your why and fly!"

Spend some time today getting quiet and allow yourself to connect with your passion and purpose.

To Your Best Life!

P.S. Take some time every day this week to get quiet and connect with your essence.

Will you accept the invitation?

Will You Accept the Invitation?
By Dr.Mike Davison
Stop the merry-go-round! I want to get off! "I've learned that the more stressful and chaotic things are on the outside, the calmer you need to get on the inside." Oprah Winfrey

Do you agree that Oprah would know about chaos? Yet, one of the keys to her success is finding the calming force on the inside, in order to be her best self on the outside.
You may not be America's most loved talk show host, but your stress is just as real and just as important to being the best you can be.
Tell me if this sounds like you:
1. Do you go to bed exhausted and wake up the same way?
2. Do you long for just a moment of quiet time to take a break from your "crazy busy" world and relax without feeling guilty?
3. Do you feel that something is missing in your life, but you just can't put your finger on what it is?
If you said yes to any of the above questions, I invite you to keep reading, because this may be the most important letter you'll read today...
I know how you feel. I've been exactly where you are.It seemed as though breathing took up time from my day.
That's when I knew that something had to change. My two sons, daughter, and my wonderful wife deserved better.
I deserved better.
You deserve better!

Reflect on Your Greatness

"A man is as great as the dreams he dreams,

As great as the love he bears;

As great as the values he redeems,

And the happiness he shares.

A man is as great as the thoughts he thinks,

As the worth he has attained;

As the fountains at which his spirit drinks

And the insight he has gained.

A man is as great as the truth he speaks,

As great as the help he gives,

As great as the destiny he seeks,

As great as the life he lives."

If you keep doing what you are doing...

Yes.

If you keep doing what your doing, you will keep getting what you are getting.

Do you like what you are "geting" in life?

People who say "YES" to this question are typically very purposeful and intentional in how they design and live their life.

I spelled out some quick things you can to to get more purposeful and intentional about designing and living your life.

The first step is to examine where you are coming from. What have yor results been the the first 2 1/2 months of the year?

Ask yourself...

What have I accomplished?

What went well? What am I proudest of? What did I learn?
How did I grow? Where did I miss the mark? Where did my limitations occur? What did I learn? How will I grow?

Once you have examined your recent past, start to look forward. Be purposeful about creating the vision and your goals. Think like you are the architect of your life (because you are). Purposefuly design your life.

Write out answers to the following questions...

What is my vision (what I see that is possible), purpose (who I need to become to make the vision work) and mission (actual steps I can take) for the rest of the year.

What are my top ten goals?

The key is to align and integrate all aspects of your life with your core values.

Further ponder the following questions (preferably in writing!).

Who will I be accountable to (besides myself) to accomplishing my goals?

Who will I talk to and check in with to support my progress?

How will I celebrate my successes?

Regarding the set backs and challenges, how will I accept them and correct them?

Take a look at your footprints on the sands of time.

"Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time.

Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o'er life's solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again."

—Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882)

I have a question for you.

What "footprints" are you leaving to inspire and teach others?

As you answer this question, don't allow fear to limit you.

There is no unreasonable outcomes or goals.

However, sometimes there are unreasonable timelines.

Keep in mind the words of recording artist Jackson Browne.

"Don't be afraid to go out on a limb. That's where the fruit is."

What matters most to you?

On the surface, this seems like an easy question to answer.

This question is thrown around so often, I think it is not typically taken seriously. Many people would reflexively answer my family, my values, my ...

Take some time this weekend and roll up your sleeves and answer this question.

Two resources that can help you in answering this question include my video blog entry from Monday.

Another is the audio from my radio show this week:
